I feel a little silly being so excited to share my New York moments. It was my first time there and I wanted a 100% Tourist experience. I can see how so many people fall in love with the city, but I don’t think I could ever live there. Hell, I can’t even handle living in DC proper. So I am giving you an in-depth synopsis of my trip in pictures. Yes, I was that girl snapping pictures every step of the way! Along the way, my phone died. Don’t worry, I had my huge tourist camera with me too.
We took the Megabus from Union Station to New York. $40 round trip? OK!
We stayed at Club Quarters in Rockefeller. It was so close to everything we wanted to do. This is our view right outside of their doors! Oh yes, that IS Radio City!
First thing is first: The plaza and the Today Show! It was about 1pm when I took this picture, so obviously all the festivities are over. I was really hoping I would see Brian Williams. I did not. We did however get lunch at Bouchon and decided to walk to Central Park for a picnic.
IDK, we were really excited to see Trump Tower
Sat on a bench, ate my sandwich, overwhelmed by the size of the pigeons here. OMG stop feeding them. At least there aren’t that many squirrels?
My childhood dream: the New York FAO Schwartz. And the candy store was all I could ever imagine.
Tiffany Home display. My dream dining room, basically.
Got back to the hotel, got ready for wicked! Make Up: Estee Lauder Doublewear Max Cover foundation, Nars Orgasm/Laguna Blush/Bronzer, Naked 2 pallette, Marc Jacobs gel liner, Marc Jacobs lipstick in Role Play, Anastasia Brow kit. Dress: J.Crew
SO EXCITED to see Wicked. Got a drink during intermission–a red slush with Malibu Rum. Got hammered next to an 8 year old.
IT WAS AMAZING! Yes, the soundtrack is currently in my car on repeat.
A walk home past Times Square
“Oh, it’s only 10, we should go do something”
“Ok, let me put on my jeans and we can hang out in this 24 hour Duane Read”
LOOK AT ALL THIS MAKEUP. New York is wonderful if it were only made up of Duane Reads.
Time to go exploring! First stop=Time Square! Actually, we went to MoMA first, but I don’t have any pictures.
M&M store. WHY IS EVERYTHING I LOVE IN NEW YORK
Empire State. Not enough time to go to the top, but enough time to stare at it.
Flat Iron building on the way to the ELF store!
9/11 Memorial, so powerful.
Dinner with an Old Friend at Ed’s Lobster Bar in SoHo
On tap for our last day: Today Show Concert Series with Rascal Flatts!
AHHH The hosts!!!
My HERO! HODAAAA!
And that’s a wrap!
